For the Do-Gooders mobile app (iOS and Android). Effective 2026-04-24.

Agreement

By installing or using Do-Gooders, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.

License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to download and use Do-Gooders on devices you own or control, and to listen to and read the audiobooks the app provides, for your own non-commercial use. The license is revocable if you violate these terms.

Content ownership

The audiobook texts, narration, and artwork in this app remain the intellectual property of their authors and rights holders, including Ken Simpson for “Do-Gooders.” You may not redistribute, resell, or publicly perform any of the content except as expressly permitted by law (for example, brief quotations for commentary or review).

In-app purchases

Some books are free to read in their entirety. Other books require a one-time in-app purchase to unlock all chapters; pricing is shown in the app and on the platform store. Purchases are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) under your existing store account. The applicable platform’s standard terms of sale apply, including their refund policy.

Restoring purchases. If you reinstall the app or use it on a new device signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account, your purchase will be available without buying it again. The app calls the platform’s receipt-restore API on launch.

Acceptable use

You agree not to (a) reverse engineer or extract the audio or text from the app for redistribution; (b) use automated means to scrape content; (c) abuse the in-app chat feature with disallowed content (spam, harassment, attempts to extract proprietary text in bulk); or (d) use the app in any way that violates applicable law.

Chat feature

The in-app chat sends your question and surrounding book context to a language model. Replies are generated by the model and may contain mistakes or inaccuracies. Do not rely on the chat for advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise). We are not responsible for content the model produces.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability arising out of or related to your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Termination

You can terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
